Bead Peeps Swap N Hop

The day has come. Woot! Woot!

Are you ready to HOP? I will be when I wake up. Right now it is 11:47pm, 13 minutes before I can reveal the piece I made and I have to start over because something strange happened with my computer and I lost my entire post. I am not tech savvy at all so I am going to try to get this done quickly so I can post it and not lose everything again.

I want to start by thanking Linda Anderson for hosting this swap and my wonderful partner Ginger Kelley Bishop who is so much more organized and thoughtful than I am. I really feel like such a lucky girl to have been given such a great and generous partner.

I totally forgot to take a picture of the stash that I sent to Ginger but here are some pictures of the stash she sent to me.

Do you see how beautiful it is???
Ginger included such wonderful treasures including a glass acorn, two pieces made pottery clay, fabric chain, a polymer piece and a beaded bead that she made herself. Oh and I cannot forget the little stamp house that she made for me, it now lives on my messy desk.

I loved everything so much that I decided to make a necklace for myself. Lately I have been wearing long necklaces, I used all of the fabric chain but it was not as long as I would like so I added some antique copper chain that matches the toggle clasp that she sent me. I decided to put the fabric chain in the back of the necklace so that it will rest against my neck. It will be interesting to see if my curly mop will get stuck in fabric chain as well as it get stuck in metal chain.
I used the toggle as my base. I wanted the pottery butterfly as my focal, I dangled the pottery rose pendant and the polymer bird pendant from the focal and attached it all to the clasp.

I love the way this necklace hangs. I added the beaded bead that Ginger made, the glass acorn and the wooden butterfly to the chain.

Now grab some snacks and a beverage and take a look at the other pieces made by my fellow swappin' hoppers!

Peggy - SO GORGEOUS! I LOVE how it hangs! Please let me know how the fabric chain works with your hair. It's SUCH a pain to get your hair stuck - so curious to know if it helps. =) Congratulations on a great piece!

You've made a very pretty necklace with a beautiful selection of beads. I love the look of it with the toggle at the front and the multi-focal look.

Positively beautiful necklace. Those colors are so soft and serene. And the use of all the chain keeps it open and airy, just the perfect place for butterflies to flit and flutter.

I really admire how you managed to squeeze all the unique focals/beads into one piece and make them all visible and not hide the beauty of each one! Gorgeous!

Well, I love it. I would have never put them together that way. Glad I saved them all these years just for you. I thought I commented on hop day, but guess I didn't. Thank you for being such a lovely swap partner. Surprisingly my mermaid necklace with it's pink beads has become a go to for me. You are awesome chickadee! Thanks again.
